Supamamas is a premier platform dedicated to empowering, inspiring, and connecting mothers in Kenya
Started 12 years ago, Supamamas is an events, marketing, and women empowerment platform that provides a platform for urban mothers to connect, share, and learn to thrive as parents and as professionals, we especially provide support for mums in business (mumpreneurs).
Our dynamic initiative aims at empowering mothers through a multifaceted approach that encompasses entrepreneurship and social support. Supamamas takes a holistic approach to empower mothers, recognizing that their well-being and success are intertwined with various aspects of their lives. In addition to supporting Mumpreneurship, Supamamas provides parenting resources, connects mums to each other; for peer support and to grow their businesses.
Our Impact:
- Parenting Support: We empower mums to be the best they can be by organizing forums for them to grow their parenting skills. We have organized 70 such forums and brought together over 7,000 mums in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu.
- Entrepreneurial empowerment: For Mumpreneurs, we organize business forums tailored to the specific needs of mumpreneurs, covering business skills development, networking and financial literacy. In the past 12 years we have organized over 17 forums in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu to provide a supportive community for mothers to connect with like-minded individuals, mentors, and potential collaborators.
- Business mental health forums: We empower mums on self-care practices and mental health to achieve holistic well-being while thriving as business women.
- Access to Funding: We connect Mumpreneurs to local banks and platforms where they can access to funding through grants, loans, and investment opportunities.
- Building Support Networks: We have created a community and support networks where mumpreneurs can connect, share experiences, and seek advice from peers facing similar challenges. On WhatsApp, we have 480 members and at our regular events we have 100 -120 mums attending per event.
