AMINETA, FIT, FIERCE AND FEARLESS

Embracing Strength Beyond Looks
I am Amineta Elianda, a 31-year-old mother of two—my lively 10-year-old daughter and at the time of sharing this story a tiny 2-month-old bundle of joy. My life is a whirlwind of responsibilities, but I’ve learned that staying fit isn’t about being slim; it’s about feeling strong, confident, and unstoppable at any size. Deep inside, I carry a fierce spirit that refuses to be confined by societal expectations or appearances. I even workout during my
A Bit of Backstory
Back in the day I was active in High School and College, I played hockey and loved the outdoors. Then as I transitioned into adulthood life slowed down—until I rediscovered hiking. That’s when my fire was rekindled. I remember the day I set out from Naivasha to Nakuru with two friends. The early morning air was filled with anticipation. But I had the wrong shoes, and blisters hampered my journey. I had to DNF (Did Not Finish), and watching my friends continue, left me feeling frustrated yet determined. That setback ignited a new passion—running.
Challenging Stereotypes and Building Confidence
As a woman, including sometimes being worried about safety on the road as a solo runner as well as managing my busy schedule as a mother – all these posed real challenges in staying on track. I also had critics who often misunderstood my fitness journey, assuming it was solely for weight loss, but my goals go far beyond that. For me, fitness is about mental resilience, physical strength, and self-love—regardless of my slim frame. I involve my daughter in my routines, teaching her that health is about feeling good and being capable, not just about appearance.
Discipline, Growth, and Self-Love
My routine now is disciplined: six days of running, two strength sessions, and physiotherapy. Having a coach helped me shift from motivation to structured progress. I’ve come to value nutrition, rest, and recovery—elements that support a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. My mindset is rooted in the belief that true wealth is health, and that every woman deserves to feel powerful in her own skin.
Balancing Motherhood and Self-Care
Balancing motherhood, career, and my own wellbeing is a challenge I embrace. I make time for myself because I know that my mental clarity and physical health help me be the best mum and partner, I can be. I involve my oldest daughter in my workouts—showing her that self-care and perseverance are lifelong lessons, no matter your size.

Nutrition and Mindset
I prioritize nutritious foods, finish my last meal before 7 PM, and avoid alcohol. During times when progress feels slow, I remind myself: I am my greatest investment. Tracking my progress, celebrating small wins, and focusing on how I feel keeps my motivation alive. I believe that health is wealth—regardless of body shape—and I nurture my body accordingly.
Transforming My Life
Fitness has become my sanctuary—my stress reliever and confidence booster. It helped me navigate pregnancy smoothly, have a quick delivery, and recover postpartum with resilience. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro while pregnant proved that strength isn’t defined by size. Today, I feel happier, more confident, and energized—living proof that staying fit is about vitality and being able to do the things you love.
My Message to You
Every step I take affirms my belief: I am capable and resilient. No obstacle is too big, no stereotype too strong. I am confident, fierce, and unstoppable—this is my story, and it’s only just beginning. To all women out there my parting shot is your size does not define your strength. Find an activity that makes you feel alive, stay consistent, and ignore the stereotypes. Do it for yourself, because your future self will thank you.
Remember—staying fit and fierce is possible at any size.
