Mentorship session at umoja 1 primary school
In July 2015, Supamamas founder initiated a mentorship event at Umoja 1 primary school together with friends Ann Waichigo and Jackson Kamau popularly known as Dj Soxxy. The purpose of the mentorship session was to share tips with the Standard 8 Candidates on the life ahead after primary school and available opportunities in the new world that more often than not are not inculcated in their school curricular. Like careers that the I.T revolution has brought about as well as opportunities in business for the youth and girls. We encouraged the pupils to believe that they could be anything they want to be despite the fact that most of them are growing in tough neighborhoods ravaged by early pregnancies’, alcoholism, absent parents and drugs.
